Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-10-13

By using GayBoard you agree to these terms. They are short on purpose: you must be an adult, you may post only what you have the right to post, and the service is provided "as is" — you use it, and act on anything you see in it, entirely at your own risk. GayBoard is run by an individual, not a company, and carries no obligation beyond responding to the reports described below.

1. Eligibility — adults only

You confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live, if higher) and legally able to consent. You confirm that any person depicted in content you upload is at least 18 and has consented to being shown. Access by minors is prohibited. We do not verify anyone's age or identity — we rely entirely on your declaration, and you are responsible for its truth.

2. Consent & honesty

3. Prohibited content

You may not post, share, or use the board to arrange any of the following. They are prohibited under these terms, are removed when we are made aware of them, and may be reported to authorities:

4. How the board works

GayBoard is a classifieds-style board. Public advertisements are text only — the public board does not display photographs. Images, if users choose to exchange them, are confined to private one-to-one messages and are designed to expire automatically after being viewed. This shapes what we can promise about moderation (see §6): the public surface carries no image index to police, and private messages are not stored to be reviewed.

5. Your content & our license

You keep ownership of what you post. You grant GayBoard a limited license to store, display, and transmit it so the service can function. Because content is removed automatically over time (see the Privacy Policy), anything you post is live only for a limited period. You are solely responsible for having the rights and consent to post it, and for any consequences of posting it.

6. Monitoring, moderation & no duty

We are a passive, largely unmonitored platform. We do not pre-screen, edit, review, or continuously monitor user content or user conduct, and we assume no duty or obligation to do so. Any moderation we perform is voluntary goodwill, done to keep the service usable — it does not create any promise, standard, or reliance, and it may happen at any time or never. We respond to reports submitted through the DMCA & Abuse page. Do not rely on the absence of content as a sign that anything was checked, removed, or found to be lawful.

7. No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," with all faults and without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory — including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a purpose, title, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uptime, availability, that posts are accurate, lawful, safe, or age-appropriate, that any content will remain available or be removed, that other users are honest, or that the service is error-free or secure. You use it at your own risk.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GayBoard and its operator shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss — including any dispute, harm, or injury arising between users, from contact or meetings arranged through the board, or from any content posted by any user — even if the operator has been advised of the possibility of such damages. The operator's total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of your use of the service is limited to zero (0). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers or limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you, and in that case our liability is limited to the greatest extent allowed in your jurisdiction.

9. Indemnification

You agree to hold harmless and indemnify GayBoard and its operator from and against any claims, demands, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to content you post, your use of the service, your breach of these terms, or your interactions with other users.

10. Termination & changes

We may suspend or stop the service, or remove or refuse any content, at any time, for any reason or none, without notice and without liability. We may change these terms; the "Last updated" date above reflects the current version, and continued use after a change means acceptance.

11. Governing law & contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the operator's country of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law rules; for material accessed in the United States, applicable U.S. federal law (including the DMCA) also applies. If any provision is unenforceable in your jurisdiction, the rest remain in effect. For questions or takedown requests, see the DMCA & Abuse page or write to [email protected].
